Chief Executive Officer Lejjy Gafour has disclosed a purchase of 100,000 shares of CULT Food Science in the open market on February 6th. It was his fourth purchase since November 14th, bringing his total recent purchases to 930,000 shares at a total cost of CAD$33,100.

As one of the few publicly-traded companies in the cellular agriculture space, CULT is held to higher reporting standards than private companies and its management team are required to disclose any purchases or sales of company shares. At the time of publication, CULT Food Science has a market valuation of CAD$7.85 million (USD$5.8 million).

A CEO buying their own company's stock shows a demonstration of confidence and faith in the future success of the company, and indicates that they are willing to put their personal financial resources behind the company. However, it's important to keep in mind that just because a CEO buys their company's stock, it does not necessarily guarantee future success.
