Do you want the same as we do?
Would you like to be a crucial part of bringing cultured meat to market, having a massive positive impact on the world?
Would you love to collaborate with an international team of world-class scientists and engineers in a fast-paced and exciting start-up environment?
Do you want to develop your expertise in a range of different cell and molecular biology techniques?
What is the purpose of your role?
Design and create optimised cell lines for the study and production of cultured meat.
What are your key responsibilities?
Design, establish and characterise new cell line models for the purpose of studying bovine skeletal muscle and fat formation.
Design and create cell lines that represent starting material for cultured meat production.
Contribute new ideas, techniques and approaches for cell line development and optimisation.
Help determine goals and priorities for the Cell Line Development team.
What else will you do?
Document, analyse and present experimental results in various formats, and to various audiences.
Identify opportunities for internal collaborations using Cell Line Development tools and techniques.

What are we looking for?
PhD degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant biological or biomedical subject (essential).
Strong background in cell biology, and mammalian cell culture in particular (essential). No prior experience with muscle, fat or bovine cells is required.
Expertise with a range of molecular biology tools, such as vector design, molecular cloning, transfection and generation of stable cell lines (essential).
Experience with cutting edge genome editing and other CRISPR/Cas technologies (highly desirable).
A strong desire to master new techniques and introduce them to the lab.
