Senior Engineering Project Manager
We're working on a challenging and incredibly exciting mission: to bring cultured meat to market. To do so, it is crucial that we scale up the novel and proprietary equipment that we have developed for our production processes. We are therefore looking for an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join the Automation + Engineering team.

What is the purpose of your role?
Manage the development of novel production equipment, focusing on scaling up our developed technologies with the eventual goal of producing tonnes of meat.
What are your key responsibilities?
Lead various projects to bring novel production concepts from a mid scale (200L sized) to a large scale (>10.000L sized) stage.
Define design requirements looking at all aspects regarding regulations, costs, timelines, technical viability and (biological) process requirements.
Organize working groups and meetings with various internal stakeholders.
Organize and delegate engineering and testing work within the department and company.
Select the right partners, engineering firms, suppliers, and manufacturers to realize our plans.
Setting up agreements (with the help of our procurement and IP specialists) that enables fruitful collaborations while ensuring long term commercial success and IP protection.
What are we looking for?
You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Process, Chemical engineering or related field.
10+ years of experience in food or pharma process equipment development or similar.
Demonstrable success in leading large scale technical projects (10+ m3, 1M+ euro).
Experience with the prototyping stages of projects.
Experience with CAD design (Autocad, Solidworks) and technical drawings.
Experience and knowledge of P&ID drawings.
Experience in establishing contracts with suppliers.
Experience with cell culture / fermentation systems and requirements is a plus.
You think out of the box, willing to challenge the status quo, and align with our goal to make cultured meat and its CAPEX + OPEX affordable.
You are happy to work in a start-up/scale-up environment, while bringing in professional qualities.
You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can work collaboratively and independently.
