Process Engineer
We're working on a challenging and incredibly exciting mission: to bring cultured meat to market.
We are currently looking for an experienced Process Engineer to join our team and help us produce the world’s first cultured beef products. You will be responsible for specifying and selecting process equipment, designing an integrated process, communicating with suppliers, and coordinating the installation and commissioning of the equipment and utilities.

What is the purpose of your role
Leading the process scale-up and plant design for our large-scale production facilities. Design, install and commission process equipment to produce cultured meat products.
What are your key responsibilities
Design and develop an integrated process to ensure efficient production.
Specify and select the appropriate process equipment according to the criteria established by the scientific teams.
Propose process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
What will you do
As process engineer, you will coordinate the installation and commissioning of equipment and utilities in our facilities.
You will be supporting the production activities in cell and tissue culture production and process scale-up.
You will debottleneck capacity constraints in the facility and collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot where the process is running suboptimal.
What are we looking for
You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
3 - 5+ years' experience with process design and equipment specification, preferably in the food or biotechnology sector.
Strong technical knowledge of process engineering and equipment design.
Experience with the culture of mammalian cells would be an advantage. Knowledge of cell harvesting, applications such as dead-end filtration, centrifugation, tangential flow filtration and ion exchange will be relevant during further process development.
Familiarity with HACCP and/or GMP practices is desirable.
You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can work collaboratively and independently.
