Junior Scientist Bioreactor Operator – Bioprocessing

Your role

Perform large scale cell and tissue culture in bioreactor systems.

Analyze and optimize bioreactor culture system in collaboration with engineers and team members of the bioprocess development team.

Collect, analyse, interpret and present experimental data.

Assist in the smooth day-to-day running of the laboratory.

Our ideal future team member

Academic background (BSc or MSc) in Cell Biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioengineering or related field.

Knowledge of and experience with bioreactor cultures, bench-top or larger scale is required.

Experience with basic mammalian cell culture techniques is a must, including cell revival, passaging, and culture maintenance.

Experience with operating range of upstream and downstream processes is required.

Experience with culture of stem cells & microcarrier cultures is highly desirable.

Cell harvest experience with emphasis on the application of continuous centrifugation separators and tangential flow filtration systems is desirable.

Passionate about our mission and excited about working in a commercial start-up environment with a ‘can do’ state of mind.

You are flexible and remain positive when priorities change.

A hardworking, organised and dedicated team-player.

Good verbal and written communication skills (minimum B2 level English).

Ability to commence soon (desirable).

Permission to work in the EU (desirable).

Willingness to work on a shift schedule. We have an Overtime policy.
